About Us: The Geek Gift Journey

Welcome to GeekGift.co.nz, where passion meets perseverance, and geek meets chic!

Since 2014, I’ve been on a mission to bring the love of collectibles, pop culture, and modern lifestyle together in one exciting space. Back then, I started as Astroman, a collectibles and lifestyle brand blending the geeky charm of a comic shop with the sophistication of modern art and home decor. Think “geek to chic” — where fandom meets finesse.

Our Humble Beginnings

It all started with a market stall, selling my own collectibles and apparel. To my surprise, the demand for these treasures was incredible! Soon, I was buying and selling secondhand goods and eventually securing partnerships with wholesalers to offer officially licensed products.

But being a small, low-capital business had its challenges. Expanding the range of stock and competing with larger players wasn’t easy. Despite this, with determination and creativity, I opened a pop-up store in a busy shopping mall. Teaming up with a T-shirt seller and a purveyor of American candy and foods, we created a vibrant hub for geek culture — all conveniently located next to a movie theater.

A New Era: GeekGift.co.nz

After taking a hiatus in 2022 to focus on a full-time career, I’m thrilled to bring the magic back under a new name: GeekGift.co.nz. This time, we’re embracing innovation and adaptability:

While there’s a short delay between ordering and delivery as we coordinate with our supplier, this setup ensures we provide a wide range of products at competitive prices.
